who we are
raisilience is a creative studio and production company telling stories that reflect the world as it is - and imagine what it could be.
Founded by BAFTA-nominated filmmaker Shiva Raichandani, our work spans fiction, documentary, and experimental formats. We are drawn to stories that are emotionally honest, structurally bold, and grounded in lived experience.
We don’t shy away from complexity. We make work that sits with discomfort and beauty, quiet moments and loud truths - always with empathy, craft, and care.
our work
Our work spans narrative film, television, documentary, and hybrid formats, as well as digital series, branded content, and artist-led commissions. We offer end-to-end production services - from early concept development and script consultations to final delivery. Alongside our creative projects, we provide consulting for productions seeking to embed inclusion, accessibility, and sustainability into their processes. This includes support with culturally competent storytelling, casting, crew practices, and sustainability frameworks such as albert. Whether we're building a short film from the ground up or advising on a global series, we bring rigour, care, and a deep respect for the power of story. Our work has featured on platforms including Netflix, BBC, and Channel 4, and has travelled to festivals, galleries, and cultural institutions around the world.
ethos
The name raisilience is a reminder: to rise, to resist, to rebuild - with softness, with strength.
We believe storytelling is not just entertainment, but a responsibility. A mirror, a lens, a call to action. We aim to make work that expands what’s possible - for audiences, and for those behind the scenes. Our approach is grounded in:
Creative rigour and emotional intelligence
Ethical, collaborative, and anti-tokenistic practices
Access, equity, and inclusion from the inside out
Deep respect for the people and communities we work with
Building industry-wide change through mentorship, transparency, and care
looking for
We’re here for projects - and people - that move us.
We’re keen to hear from writers, directors, and collaborators with work that is layered, intimate, and unafraid. We welcome emerging and established talent alike, especially those whose voices have historically been sidelined.
We’re also open to partnerships with producers, funders, broadcasters, brands, and community collectives - especially those committed to doing the work thoughtfully and differently.
